Many people were shocked,
and the damage has affected not only Myanmar
but also neighboring countries.
Where did it start?
This earthquake occurred near Mandalay,
Myanmar's second-largest city, in the Sagaing region.
The epicenter was 10 kilometers deep,
and the tremors spread across Myanmar
and even reached Thailand and China.
The powerful tremors left many people terrified,
and in several areas, buildings collapsed,
causing severe damage.
How severe is the damage?
The reported damage is devastating.
Buildings have collapsed, bridges have been destroyed,
and roads have cracked open.
Additionally, vital infrastructure has been destroyed.
More than 1,000 people have died,
and over 100,000 have been injured across Myanmar.
The number of injured continues to rise!
Key religious sites and bridges in Mandalay,
as well as the royal palace, have collapsed.
In the capital, Naypyidaw, the control tower
at the airport also collapsed, killing everyone inside.
Even in Bangkok, Thailand, over 1,000 kilometers away,
buildings collapsed, killing 20 people and
leaving more than 90 missing.
Myanmar, Right Now, Your Help is Urgently Needed
Myanmar has been in a state of internal conflict
since the military coup in 2021,
and government-led relief

Many people are waiting for rescue
among the rubble, and hospitals,
communications, and roads are all paralyzed.
Right now, Myanmar desperately needs tangible
help from the international community.
We cannot just stand by and watch anymore.
